Located near historic Larimer Square, The Four Seasons Hotel Denver is a Five-Star luxury hotel and the 4th tallest building in Denver. ATS provided the Four Seasons Denver with an Alerton Compass building automation and control system, giving the staff peace of mind knowing their environmental and HVAC systems will perform optimally. ATS also provided a FacilityCare plan, a fault detection and diagnostic service providing hotel staff with facility analytics that provides suggested improvements for energy savings, equipment longevity, and, most importantly, points out problem areas that could affect guest comfort.
This vibrant 860,000 combined sqft. mixed-used facility adjacent to the Colorado Rockies’ Coors Field is comprised of three towers (office, hotel, and residential condos). As a WELL-certified facility, ATS was vital in assuring successful control of the central heating and cooling plants, AHU, DOAS, FPVAV, VAV, FCU, snowmelt system, garage ventilation, and BTU metering.
This $400 million expansion brought an increased gaming floor, conference space, three new restaurants, luxury rooms and suites, and a world-class spa. While maintaining full uptime, ATS seamlessly integrated the existing building with the new 23-story addition. Systems controlled include central heating and cooling systems, snowmelt system, built-up air handling units, makeup air units, kitchen hoods, VAV boxes, FCUs, and generator monitoring.
Completed in 2017 the CSU Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins brought college football back to the Colorado State University campus for the first time since 1967. Prior to the stadium opening, the CSU Rams played their games at Hughes Stadium across town. The 727,000 sqft facility features a 41,000-capacity stadium, training facilities, offices, an alumni center and 60,000 sqft of general classroom space.
ATS Rocky Mountain provided an Alerton Compass building management system for the facility along with control of the VAVs, VFDs and the central plant. This project had an accelerated time table that required ATS to integrate the stadium’s controls into the main campus front-end before the first home game of the season which was held soon after construction was completed.
Opening 121 years ago on August 12, 1892, The Brown Palace is one of Denver’s most storied and historic luxury hotels. Past guests of The Brown Palace include The Beatles, the “Unsinkable” Molly Brown, Theodore Roosevelt and Dwight D. Eisenhower. ATS is retrofitting the existing mechanical system in The Brown Palace and its partner Comfort Inn across the street with Alerton BACnet controls to manage the central plant and 500+ rooms in the two hotels. Due to the historic nature of the hotel, ATS is utilizing a unique wireless communication system for DDC control in each guestroom.
